How we rank — and what we refuse to do

Ranking basis, in this order

  1. Fit for the traveller profile and dates you actually set
  2. Flexibility — cancellation and change terms, stated plainly
  3. Payment fit — including whether crypto is accepted
  4. Trust signals we can verify, not vendor marketing

Commission is never an input to that order. We may earn a commission when you book through a partner, and it changes nothing about where an option appears. If it ever does, this paragraph is a lie and you should stop trusting the site.

What you will never see here

  • No “3 people are viewing this” — manufactured scarcity
  • No countdown timers on prices that are not really expiring
  • No strikethrough “was” prices used as anchors
  • No “only 1 room left” unless the supplier genuinely says so
  • No third-party trackers — view source and count them

These are the mechanics large booking sites rely on. Dropping them costs them revenue, which is exactly why we can hold this position and they cannot.

Operating guardrails

Affiliate disclosure: The Unhacked may earn commissions when a user books through partner links. Rankings prioritize user value, trust, flexibility, payment fit, and suitability before monetization.

Crypto risk: Crypto payment and token rewards are treated as payment/reward options, not investment advice. No guaranteed token, mile, reward, discount, or income claims.

Pricing: Final price, availability, cancellation, taxes, and fees must be confirmed at the partner checkout. This site does not show live prices.

Safety: Movement and activity recommendations must use safe, legal, licensed providers. Emergency situations should route to official providers or emergency services.

Data confidence: Every practical claim should be tagged as official_source, partner_source, editorial_verified, repeated_traveler_report, single_report, or needs_verification.

Passenger rights: We can provide checklists and questions to ask. We do not provide legal representation or guarantee compensation, refund, or reaccommodation.
